Goodreads Monday

Goodreads Monday

Hello again everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. Sadly we did not trade in our car. We decided against it because the used one we were looking at had been in two prior accidents. Safety first, especially with two kids. Anyway…I hope you all get to see my second post today. I am happy to announce that I am collaborating with Kaleen (Reader Voracious) to bring you a fun game to help get you into the Halloween spirit.  Be sure to check out me SCAREtober BINGO post! I am super excited to be a part of this 13 days of Halloween bookish game. I hope that you all enjoy it. Aside from that, I was able to make two Halloween bookmarks as a prize for SCAREtober! It was my first time laminating anything and I used a layering design, thanks to my Cricut explore air 2…ahh my beautiful crafty baby. I will be making more bookmarks throughout the year. If you would like to have me make one to your custom ideas, let me know and I’ll see what I can do…for a small fee of course.

In other big news… I signed up for NaNoWriMo! I am so nervous and excited at the same time. I have never written a book before but I really need to get motivated to write this mermaid novel of mine. This is the perfect thing to get me going. Do you participate in NaNoWriMo? Have you ever written a book? Any tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Support is always nice too…and coffee or tea, those will be fueling my writing escapades next month. You can buy me a coffee using the button to the right of this post…go ahead, do it!

Well, it is Monday and I know why you are all really here…Goodreads Monday! So…less about parent life and more about books! This weekly event is hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners. To take part, simply choose a random book from your Goodreads TBR (To Be Read) list and show it off.

Now onto the good part, yet another book from my Goodreads to read shelf…which is always growing larger with each Goodreads Monday post that I read. I am serious, every Monday my TBR list grows by about 5 books. Why are there so many great books and so little reading time?

The last city on Earth is contaminated. Now blood is the only thing that can wash it clean.

Julia is trapped inside the Blue as the Nobles fight over the few humans who are still alive. When the dust settles and she finds herself shackled to a new master, she knows she must escape or die.

Meanwhile, Cam has gathered a handful of comrades and is on his way into the Red to rescue his queen. But not all of his friends can be trusted, and not all of them will make it back alive.

The Silver Queen is the second book in Josie Jaffrey’s Sovereign trilogy, set in a dystopian Europe where vampiric Nobles control the last remnants of the human race.

I am beyond excited about the second book in this series. I recently read The Gilded King and loved it soooooo much. I really hope to see more of Lucas here because he is now my newest bookish boyfriend and I cannot get enough of him and Julia. I will have to read Josie’s other series, it occurs in the same world this does and I know it will be just as amazing.

Is this a book that you might enjoy if you have not read it? Have you heard of this novel before now? Do you have a hard time waiting so long for books you know you will love? What are some books on your Goodreads to-read list? Do you find yourself adding many more to your TBR list on Goodreads Monday?

I am excited to start reading this series. Seeing how much you loved it pushed me over the edge to read it. Now that I seem to be over my reading slump. I plan on making the first book my next read.

As far as bookish boyfriends go….. lol who am I kidding I could never put a stop to this ??. I’m happy you enjoyed this book so much and hopefully I will as well.

    Thank you for the recommendation!
