Goodreads Monday

Goodreads Monday

Hello again everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. I was able to get a good amount of errands complete! Ok, tangent…I am 27 and currently do not drive. My father began teaching me before he passed but yelled at me while I drove, I developed bad driving anxiety. Well, I now have a permit again and have been driving more. I am actually becoming more confident. Today my husband and I will be trading our little car in for a 2011 Mazda Cx 9. I am excited to have an SUV, with two kids, the space is welcomed. Long story short, I am starting to love learning to drive. I am also super excited that I am officially booked for Saturday Spotlights until this December! I am just so happy that I can do something to give back to so many of these amazing authors!

Well, it is Monday and I know why you are all really here…Goodreads Monday! So…less about parent life and more about books! This weekly event is hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners. To take part, simply choose a random book from your Goodreads TBR (To Be Read) list and show it off.

Now onto the good part, yet another book from my Goodreads to read shelf…which is always growing larger with each Goodreads Monday post that I read. I am serious, every Monday my TBR list grows by about 5 books. Why are there so many great books and so little reading time?

IThe House of Berethnet has ruled Inys for a thousand years. Still unwed, Queen Sabran the Ninth must conceive a daughter to protect her realm from destruction—but assassins are getting closer to her door.

Ead Duryan is an outsider at court. Though she has risen to the position of lady-in-waiting, she is loyal to a hidden society of mages. Ead keeps a watchful eye on Sabran, secretly protecting her with forbidden magic.

Across the dark sea, Tané has trained all her life to be a dragonrider, but is forced to make a choice that could see her life unravel.

Meanwhile, the divided East and West refuse to parley, and forces of chaos are rising from their sleep.

I am dying to read this book…I would sell my soul for an ARC. I was denied on NetGalley, it ruined my day. If you know of anyone with an ARC that they are willing to trade for, let me know! How can I wait until February?!?! I think this is one of the most sought afterARCs for 2019 as of right now.

Is this a book that you might enjoy if you have not read it? Have you heard of this novel before now? Do you have a hard time waiting so long for books you know you will love? What are some books on your Goodreads to-read list? Do you find yourself adding many more to your TBR list on Goodreads Monday?
