Pagan Portals: The Norns by Irisanya Moon

Pagan Portals: The Norns by Irisanya Moon

As someone who discovered Norse heritage, I was very happy to read this short novel on The Norns. I have always been pulled to Norse beliefs and recently chose to follow the pull and learn a bit more.

When given the chance to review this book thanks to Moon Books! Needless to say, I am forever grateful and excited that I had the chance to read this novel. But as this is a short book, this will also be a short review so let’s get to it.

In the past, someone that I was close to at the time mentioned that they used a term Wyrd to describe the web between all things. Almost as if it was a term they made up. Little did I know, this was not the case and the term was widely used on Norse mythology.

Most who dive into Norse beliefs soon discover the Norns. This is a wonderful book for those looking to learn more about just that! From who the sisters are and what they represent, to how to cultivate a relationship with them…it is all here.

I really enjoy that this book was not full of fluff so to speak. There was no random filler pages with information on tangents that did not pertain to the Norns. I also really like that the Norse creation story was added.  Overall, I really like this short, informative novel and think many of you will as well. This is written in a manner that both beginners and experienced practitioners with more Norse knowledge.
