Freebie Friday

You made it! After today, it is the weekend! I hope that you had a great week. Mine has been wonderful, the business is busy and I am starting to work on some developmental edits on my book. I have gotten some news back from the editor on the first few chapters, I need to make some developmental edits and some changes. Of course, being my first ever book I need to work on showing rather than telling and tightening my language. I have written academically, scientific papers, for years! It is hard breaking away from that but I know I can do it! I am excited to work on this, make it something I can be proud to show everyone. If you have any tips for a new writer, please share them, I’ll be forever grateful!

While I wait to get my book in good enough shape to show you all, how about we take a look at another free book?

His memories only go as far back to his days slaying starved beasts and mad men in a dark pit, but soon after he’s sold to a criminal syndicate, Mercer gains a chance to avenge the life he lost. Along with a vampire and a princess, helping the young rogue take advantage of the opportunity is an enchanted longsword he finds deep within a mountain, whose power links to that of an ancient dragon. If Mercer hopes to achieve retribution against his formidable foes, the corrupted boy must become the kind of warrior not seen in centuries—a dragon knight.

Well, you all know by now that I picked this one because it had ‘dragon’ in the title! Not entirely, the description sounds so good. This book has 295 reviews on Amazon with an average rating of 4 stars so it has to be good…right? I have read some of these reviews and I’m actually excited to give it a try. Aside from finding a sword that connects to an ancient dragon, there is a princess and vampire…what in the world else does this book have to throw at readers? I have to find out.
