Witchy Wednesday

Witchy Wednesday

Hello everyone and welcome back to Witchy Wednesday!! I began this portion on my blog because I wanted to show a little more of who I am behind this computer screen. I haven’t been as active but when I am, you see a lot of young adult fantasy books reviewed. I wanted to open this up a bit and show the world about some of what I believe in, thus Witchy Wednesday was born. Here you can find a variety of books that I’ve read, either sent to me from publishers or ones I’ve purchased on my own.

Part of being spiritual means practicing every day and this next book has quickly become special for me, you’ll see why.

Every Day Magic – A Pagan Book of Days contains 366 spells, rituals, meditations, Pagan prayers, divinatory techniques, poems to read and recipes and craft projects to try out, along with the details of festivals that take place throughout the year. All the activities are intended to be easy to follow so you can pick up the book, open it to a day and find something you can do. There are festivals from the ancient world and modern Pagan celebrations as well.

Sometimes I find it hard to really make time for doing things regarding my spiritual path. I know I’m not alone in this feeling. Sometimes I really don’t know what to do during the day or I just feel…meh. Well, this is a book that can help with that!!

This book lays out every day in the year and gives you something to do each day that can help you follow your path. When you aren’t sure what to do, turn to this book because it has sooo many amazing ideas! This will be a book I turn to often. It has ideas for rituals, study topics, mantras, charms, even some recipes…this book seems small but it is packed to the brim with a large array of things to do on any given day during the year.

The only thing I don’t like is their spelling of ‘Magic.’ This is only a personal preference but when I see it spelled ‘magic’ it reminds me more of a magician who pulls a rabbit from a hat rather than a spiritual path and witchcraft. This has no impact on how I feel about the book, it is only a personal preference.
