Saturday Spotlight – Varun Sayal

Saturday Spotlight – Varun Sayal

Happy Saturday everyone! Well, not super happy in my house…everyone here is sick or getting sick. Lots of honey and tea being consumed here! The good news is the weather has been nice but really wet, lots of rain. The plus is that everything is blooming and it is beautiful outside! Spring and summer are some of my favorite seasons because I get to spend most of my day outside. I just can’t wait for that pool to be open so I can lounge and read…oh the fun warm days can’t come soon enough.

Our chickens are so big now! I’ll have to add some pictures to my next post for you all. Or maybe I will add some to Twitter for you all to see, keep an eye out for that! I think they should start laying eggs right before winter hits, maybe in the fall. My father-in-law and I have been building bee nuc boxes so we can get ready when we pick our bees up from Georgia. We are hoping to get some good honey this year as well. We might even open an Etsy site to sell candles and bee pollen among other things. Who knows…well you will if you follow my blog or Twitter. I guess that is the best way to keep up on what I’m doing. But…enough about me. Let’s get back to my blog, shall we?

Hello and welcome to my favorite day of the week here on my blog…SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT!! These are the days where I have the honor of talking with an author who might be new to you. I get to tell you a bit about them, their social media sites and their books. That isn’t the best part though…the best part is interviewing them or having them do a guest post. This allows potential readers to get to know a little bit about the author behind their amazing covers.

My goal with these posts is to introduce you to a new author or book. Take a chance, maybe you’ll find something you fall in love with. There are so many amazing authors in the world that go unnoticed because they are not in the spotlight. I want to change that. If you are an indie or lesser known author, get in touch with me. I would like to help share your work. I do this all free of charge, publishing a book is expensive enough. I promote authors because I love what they do. I will never charge for promoting a book or author on my Saturday Spotlight posts.

Well, now that I’m off my soapbox…let’s move on to today’s author! Today I am happy to host Varun Sayal for a spotlight post here on my blog. He is the author of two science fiction novels that are great reads, especially for a new author.

About Varun Sayal

Varun Sayal

VARUN SAYAL is an engineer and MBA from I.I.T. and I.S.B. (top schools in India), who has been involved in theatre as a playwright, actor, and director, and has also been an independent movie-maker. His genre of writing is predominantly science fiction blended with mythology and a sprinkle of the gruesome actualities of life. In his own words:

“I think of each story as a surreal, fast-paced narrative that pulls in the reader right from the beginning, takes them through a voyage into an alternate dystopian realm, bequeathing to them images etched permanently on their minds. I live by the quote, ‘a true art calms a disturbed mind and disturbs a calm mind.’”

When Rigu reveals that Kumbh has escaped from his time-prison and plans to decimate human life on a global scale, Tej knows that he needs to act.
