WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday

Hello and welcome back everyone. I hope that you are all doing well in the middle of this week. Yesterday was my husband’s birthday. I made him Keto friendly Lemon cupcakes and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious they turned out! I love cooking and baking, especially from scratch. I try to bring my kids in to help as well, showing them the joy of making something from scratch to provide for your family and how making healthy choices are easy. The small things in life are those we remember and I hope they remember licking the spoon when we are baking, laughing when we make a mess of the flour or crack an egg and get it all over the counter. I am simultaneously teaching them life skills and making lasting memories, strengthening our bond as mother and children.

Being a mom is by far the best and most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life, not that it has been a very long one so far but I know that fact will never change. Neither will my love for books, so let’s get back to that, shall we? I’ve decided that I would once again participate in WWW Wednesday. It was fun seeing everyone’s reading progress and I miss participating. So, for now on, each Wednesday I will alternate between Would You Rather Wednesday and WWW Wednesday.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World Of Words, the rules are simple you just have to answer these three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

So, what are we waiting for?

Currently Reading

Little Darlings

Little DarlingsLittle Darlings

I was approved for an E-ARC on Netgalley and so far, I am enjoying this. It is a nice break from the large amount of fantasy I typically read. As a mother, I understand some of the stress the main character goes through, but I did not have twins…I can imagine. And then on top of everything that is happening to her…oh my goodness. I am surprised she has kept things together so far.

Orgo Runners: The First Run (Book 1)

My older son and I are reading this book together, little by little. So far he and I are both enjoying it! The last time we read some of it, he begged me to read more but it was his bedtime so we had to stop. So far I would say that these books have some great potential and I look forward to reading all of them.

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle Book 1)

I actually just began listening to this as an audiobook yesterday. I am not that far into it yet but all I can say is I would hate knowing that I could never kiss my true love or he would die. That would be awful.

Recently Finished

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles Book 3)

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3)Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3)

I think that this might have been my favorite book of this series so far. I listened to the audiobook and just loved it. There was so much going on that I hated to stop listening! I actually listened after my shower, just sitting in the bathroom a few extra minutes. Shh…don’t tell my husband.

The New Health Rules: Simple Changes to Achieve Whole-Body wellness

The New Health Rules: Simple Changes to Achieve Whole-Body WellnessThe New Health Rules: Simple Changes to Achieve Whole-Body Wellness

I chose to give this book a try. I live a ketogenic lifestyle and lately, I’ve been reading every book about it I can get my hands on. Now, this is not a keto book but it does have some great health advice. Though I do not agree with everything discussed in this novel, I do think there are some very informative facts. Take this book with a grain of salt, use it as your foundation to start your own research.

What I’ll Read Next

This is always hard for me as I am more of a mood reader. But, this is what I hope to read next.

Blood Moon

Chroma Crossing Chronicles: Blood Moon: Part 1Chroma Crossing Chronicles: Blood Moon: Part 1

I have had this book for a while now, I was given a free copy in exchange for a review. Honestly, I have been putting it off based on some negative feedback I heard from another reader. I think that despite that, it deserves a chance and so, I will give it one.

Well, that’s it for now. How is your reading going? What is a book that you are really looking forward to reading this month?
