Goodreads Monday

Goodreads Monday

Well, well, well…we meet again! Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your weekend. It was cold here so I did not venture outside very much. I did begin reading our first children’s book with my older son. We are reading Orgo Runners: The First Run by R.J. Furness. So far, he is enjoying it. Since I’ve told him I will be sharing his thoughts on my blog as well, which he is very excited about, he has become very critical…questioning everything. He even questioned the opening line about a storm. He asked “What storm? They did not tell us about a storm. How can they just…” I interrupted him “It is the very first line, give the author a chance to tell us what is happening in the story.” He is having fun with this and I am so happy that he is excited to share his thoughts with you all.

That being said, I hope you all enjoy what is to come. I would appreciate any and all feedback given. However, that is not why we are here today! Today we are here for Goodreads Monday! So, here goes!

As one by one her beautiful sisters mysteriously die on their isolated island estate, Annaleigh must unravel the curse that haunts her family. Be careful who you dance with. . . .
In a manor by the sea, twelve sisters are cursed.
Annaleigh lives a sheltered life at Highmoor, a manor by the sea, with her sisters, their father, and stepmother. Once they were twelve, but loneliness fills the grand halls now that four of the girls’ lives have been cut short. Each death was more tragic than the last—the plague, a plummeting fall, a drowning, a slippery plunge—and there are whispers throughout the surrounding villages that the family is cursed by the gods.

Disturbed by a series of ghostly visions, Annaleigh becomes increasingly suspicious that the deaths were no accidents. Her sisters have been sneaking out every night to attend glittering balls, dancing until dawn in silk gowns and shimmering slippers, and Annaleigh isn’t sure whether to try to stop them or to join their forbidden trysts. Because who—or what—are they really dancing with?

When Annaleigh’s involvement with a mysterious stranger who has secrets of his own intensifies, it’s a race to unravel the darkness that has fallen over her family—before it claims her next.

Tell me that this does not sound good…go ahead! That’s right, you can’t because it sounds soooo good! First of all…twelve sisters?! That is one busy momma, I am busy with two, I cannot even imagine 12! Be sure to watch my blog in July, I will be interviewing Erin before the book is released! Let me know what questions you all want to be answered and I will see what I can do.
