Well, 2018 has come to a close and I could not be happier. My biggest accomplishment this year has been pushing myself to not only participate in NaNoWriMo but win. I am going to finish writing my novel this year and start editing. I hope to have a few drafts done by the end of 2019.
My blog has gained a total of 300 followers! Thank you to each and every one of you who spend your valuable time reading what I have to say about these books that I have the pleasure of reading. I have also reached 1,054 Twitter followers. I am in shock, you are all amazing and I cherish every one of you. I hope to continue gaining followers as I move my blog along, learning and growing throughout the year.
I have a few New Year Resolutions that pertain to reading and my blog. I would love to share them with you if you would be willing to read them. So, here they are…
New Year Resolutions
- Focus on promoting my freelance proofreading business
- Finish writing The First Sieren
- Read 100 books in 2019
- I was so close in 2018 but I was thrown off by such a busy schedule. I hope this year is a little more organized.
- Read more Indie/Self-Published books
- I would love to continue to support smaller authors and what better way than to read and review their books
- Reach out and become more active in the book blogging community
- Think seriously about starting a booktube channel
Wow…that is a lot and I am sure that I could think of a few more to add. But let’s just stick with those to begin with. Now that I have gotten that down and out into the public…let’s move on to what books I have read this past month.
Books I have read this month
I really thought that I would get more reading done during this month but after writing so much in November, and preparing for the holidays…I didn’t. I spent much more time with my kids and that is one thing I cherish above all. We had a wonderful holiday with my mom and it was so nice seeing her and my brothers. Now…onto the few books I have read during the month.
Shadow of the Fox
The Legend of Alastar
Cinder
I know, I know…only three books. But family is what is important and I did hit my 75 book Goodreads goal.
Books I am currently reading
I was also doing a proofread during December and I am doing a beta read now. Those have taken up a lot of my time. Here is what I started reading via audiobook on my trip to and from my mom’s house as well as what I am reading in hardcopy.
Mortal Engines
Hunter (Hunter #1)
The Gilded Wolves (The Gilded Wolves #1)
Well, there you have it, my December in a nutshell. I hope that 2019 brings you all many great books, I know there are so many great books that will be released this year. I look forward to what 2019 brings to my family, blog, and business. Have a great new year everyone.

Thank you! We started it as an audio book and it’s not bad! What did you think?
It was the audiobook that I listened to π I enjoyed it and I really wish I’d got to it sooner instead of waiting for it to be adapted.
I feel the same way right now. I have so many books I’d love to read but so little time, especially with 2 kids
