September Monthly Wrap-up

September Monthly Wrap-up

I hope that you all had a wonderful month full of reading! Once again, I did not get as much reading done as I would have liked. I was so busy unpacking boxes. I also had a proofread job that I worked on in sections and finished a beta read. Being a busy stay at home mom is tough, but I still find time to read when I can. Family time is very important to me. I know those small moments of me laying on the floor, playing with my boys and their hot wheels, will be the memories that they remember. It is always the small moments, the one on one, quality time. I love books but love my family above all. Do you have kids? If so, how do you manage to find reading time during the day?

I went to my local library; my husband, older son, and I each got library cards. Yay for a new library! It is smaller than our old one, but I am sure it will be wonderful. Maybe on our first official visit, I will post some pictures. They have a bulletin board out front where people can pin ads and other things. I pinned up a couple business cards. I am thinking of making a pull tab flyer with a business card attached so that people can remove a tab of paper with my contact info rather than a business card. I am still on the fence about it. Anyway…I guess you all really want to know what I managed to read this past month. Let’s begin with books I did find time to read.

So far, this book isn’t awful. It is a little strange, I am not far in but I am waiting for some big turn of events to occur. I will for sure keep you all updated and post a review when I finish. Thank you again to the author for sending a review copy in the mail to me. I really appreciate it.

The Gift of Quoxxel

I am not sure what to say about this book. It made me laugh many times but it failed to pull me in. Sadly, this might be the first book that I DNF (do not finish). I appreciate the author for sending an e-copy for me to read and I hope that I can push through it to the end.

Seventh Born (The Witching Academy Book 1)

I am actually liking what I have read of this book as of right now. I look forward to reading more of it! Thank you to NetGalley for my e-copy. This witch tale is perfect for October!

Once again you put me to shame. I just cant gr into reading right now for some reason. My mind is calm and I am ready and welling but everytime I pick up my book I fall asleep. Lol guess I should start reading earlier in the night. That might help ?. But like you I love being with my family and spending time doing whatever it is they are doing.
