Supportive Sunday

Hello everyone and Happy Mother’s Day!

I am always searching for new books, but we won’t mention the many many I have not read yet. Looking through Kindle unlimited books I decided that I was going to begin a segment on my blog where I would share books that were free, either via Kindle unlimited or on their own. I am not going to just share any free books though. I want to share those with few reviews!! I want to help new authors or titles get out into the world so others can leave reviews.

That being said, I will go through and choose a few titles each post and share with you ones I believe may be interesting. I am hoping you all enjoy free books!

This first book only has 2 reviews but both are five stars on Amazon. On Goodreads there are 7 ratings and 3 reviews with an average of three stars. This title is currently free, at the time of this post, but is normally $0.99.  Let’s see what this book is all about shall we?

A contract killer. A gorgeous victim. And a mystic garden hidden beyond the Winter Court.

Remy Keaton is Aderyn Corff—the Death Bird—and a notorious assassin of the unseelie court. But what the fey don’t know is that Remy is a human… and that Remy hates killing. Too bad he’s so good at it.

When Remy is forced to track down and murder a beautiful sidhe Lady of the Court whose only crime is being more attractive than Queen Rhagathena, he must ask himself difficult questions. The orc warlord who pulls Aderyn Corff’s strings demands blood, but perhaps there is some wiggle room in the spider queen’s hit-list… and perhaps ascertaining that is the key to breaking free of the arcane vow that binds the human to the fey’s service.

Can Remy defeat the oath that has bound him to the spider queen’s service, or must he kill Lady Fenelope to satisfy the laws of his oath?

This short story is a prequel in the Curse of the Fey Duelist series, beginning in book 1: A Kiss of Daggers. If you like dark fantasy, paranormal, and urban fantasy with elves, magic, and mystery, then you need this book. For fans of Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black, or Cassandra Clare.

This sounds like something that I would enjoy reading! Besides…the author mentioned some really big YA authors that are popular and that is a big claim to live up to. I will for sure have to check this one out and see if it lives up to the claim.

The next book I am going to spotlight for today is one that has 12 reviews on Amazon with an average rating of 4.3 stars. On Goodreads it has 4 ratings and one review with an average of 4.75 stars. I will admit…the cover caught my attention for this one. I love anything to do with fox or kitsune! This one is currently available on Kindle Unlimited.

Our Wandering Time by [Robert Butler]

My name is Aiko Tsuniki, and I was the unluckiest man on Earth. All of that changed when I found myself in another world. And I mean all of that changed. I was no longer a man, no longer a human, and no longer on Earth. I was, somehow, brought to the world of Manami, a steampunk fantasy world of industrialist goblins and elves, mechpilot dwarves, and adventurers of all kinds, plying their skills against dragons, monsters, and even international conspiracies.

What’s a brand new kitsune with no idea how to use magic, nothing to go home to, and no way back anyway, going to do? Become an adventurer, of course, and have the time of my life with a brand new group of friends in the sort of world a nerd like me has dreamed of for my entire life.

This is my story. I can only hope it entertains you as much to read it, as it entertained me to live it.

The cover captured my attention more than the blurb but it did peak my interest. I mean come on…goblins, elves, dragons, monsters, and a kitsune that has no idea how to use magic yet…it has to be a decent read. I will have to look into reading this one as well.

Have you read either of these books? Will you be choosing one or both to read? If so, comment below and let me know! I would also love to see your review of either if you so choose to read it and share your thoughts.
