Tarot Tuesday: Tarot Priestess – Leeza Roberston Review

Tarot Tuesday: Tarot Priestess – Leeza Roberston Review

Welcome to Tarot Tuesday, this is a new segment on my blog where I discuss all things tarot/oracle including deck reviews and books regarding this topic. Tarot is a big part of what I do and I decided what better way to express that than sharing. Today will be the first of many segments and if you would like me to discuss a certain topic or review a specific deck, let me know. If I can get a copy of it I will.

Today we are actually reviewing a tarot book, one that takes you much deeper into the cards than simple generic meanings. Let’s get into it!

What is tarot? Many people ask that question and simply get an answer saying that it is a divination tool. While that is true, it is so much more than that. This book shows the reader that tarot cards can be used as a way to heal and grow on your spiritual journey.

Beginning with the fool, Tarot Priestess goes through each card and gives not only a little introduction but a devotional exercise as well as a card layout! That was probably my favorite part of the entire book, the devotional exercises and layouts. I will be writing some of these ‘prayers’ and layouts down so that I can use them more regularly. Well…that and the fact that Robertson goes into some detail about which cards would be great placed at certain altars.

For example; a Robertson mentions that set up a prosperity altar and would like to add some cards that will help you to grow your money or business, the Seven of pentacles and Knight of pentacles would be good choices. If you wanted to add to a love altar to spice up your sex life the Ace of wands and Queen of wands would be great additions. This shows that tarot cards have so many more uses than the ‘traditional’ ones we are taught.

If you want to know more about how you can expand your use of these cards, this is a great book to pick up. At times I had “ah-ha” moments because some of these seem so simple I could not understand why I had not heard of them until this.

That being said, this is a wonderful book for those who understand tarot and want to use it more in daily life or even for those who are just beginning tarot. I hope that if you choose to pick up this book it enlightens you as much as it has me.
