Hey everyone! Today I am super excited to be a part of this blog tour. I devoured this book and can’t wait to give a brief review. I wanted this to be more in depth but life has been insane lately and I have not had the time to really consolidate my thoughts.
I want to thank TheWriteReads and the author of today’s book as well as the author, Marisa Noelle for allowing all of us participating in the tour the opportunity to read The Unadjusteds.
That being said, be sure to visit TheWriteReads via Twitter to find the other posts and support someone who supports us so much!
Today, I am telling you all a little bit more about The Unadjusteds, by Marisa Noelle.

About the Author
I was really excited to read this one! As bad as it might seem, dystopians seem to always pull me in…my guilty pleasure. Ths is a very fast paced story with captivating fight scenes that really pulls you in!
My favorite aspect of this story was the fact that in a world where everyone changed their DNA to enhance themselves, few stood tall and chose not to. That is difficult to do but what if choosing not to manipulate their DNA change who you were as a person? As a science person, I really love the idea of a society where “upgrades” to your DNA were commonplace. The entire time I was reading, I couldn’t help but think of all the possible moral questions that would coencice with this practice.
The one thing that really bothered me regarding the story itself was the lack of background information. How did this begin and why? I want to know more! The world-building was very well done. Although the pages were not as detailed as I preferred, I could clearly picture every scene and detail. I don’t think the lack of detail matters as much since this book really pushed you past each scene and into the other, keeping the fast pace. I still crave more description and details.
I did not care for many of the characters but that might be simply because they are all angsty teenagers. I did really relate to Silver though. Some might find her annoying but I grew to care for her in a way. I really liked how despite her parent’s wishes, they did not force the pills on her.
This could be a fantastic weekend read. It can be scary reading dystopian with the thoughts that it could happen someday. Would you take the pill?
This is a great read and I am very happy I was given the chance to dive into it. I really look forward to any sequels that are to come. If you enjoy fast paced, action packed, dystopian novels…do not hesitate to pick this one up.
