Hello witches! Ok, you might not be a witch but I had to say it at least once. Welcome to Witchy Wednesday! This is the scheduled day of the week where I write a witchy book review. I honestly love this day because I not only get to share my love of books with all of you but I am able to share more of who I am and what I am learning. Like anything else, there is so much to learn and I am the type of person who wants to learn everything right now. I don’t have enough time in the day…
Even if you aren’t a Pagan or a witch, I bet you’ve looked up your zodiac sign or read a horoscope. I always wanted to learn a little more about it and was overjoyed when I was given the chance.

Your Essential Guide to Quick and Easy Astrology
Set yourself up for better relationships and a bright future with Born Under a Good Sign, the uncomplicated guide to astrological sun signs. This book strips away the woo-woo and technical charts, leaving only the most useful and clear information on each sun sign’s traits and tendencies.
With sensible explanations and playful stories, Kristy Robinett provides everything you need to understand the larger impacts of the signs. You’ll learn about planetary influences, communication styles, strengths and challenges, the masculine and feminine energy of each sign, and much more. Kristy also reveals how to handle difficult situations that arise with partners, parents, friends, and children. Featuring indispensable advice that isn’t limited to any particular year, Born Under a Good Sign is perfect for improving your life and relationships.
I admit I’ve looked at a horoscope here and there but since I’ve been following this pagan path of life, I’ve had more interest in astrology. Of course, the first thing I did when I received this book as look myself up within. Once satisfied I proceeded through my house, checking each person. This book is incredibly easy to read and accurate. I will say, there is always an exception though. Sometimes a person doesn’t fit any of the descriptions for their zodiac sign and that’s alright. They aren’t die-hard facts.
A great resource book to have on hand for those who are well rounded in the field of astrology or even those just getting their toes wet. I will be keeping this book around and you bet I’ll be asking everyone I meet their birthday so I can look them up and see if they fit their astrological descriptors. Robinett balances her descriptions to make them simple enough for beginners but engaging enough for those who already have some information under their belt.
The only downside I can see is that this book only discusses your sun sign. To get a better idea of your characteristics, I’d like to also see the moon sign and rising sign associations. This not being here does not mean it is a bad book, it simply means that it is a little basic. Because I am new to astrology, I am alright and enjoyed the book very much. It is more of a reference book rather than a read cover to cover book. Thank being said, I enjoyed the book and will be keeping it as a reference book in my witchy collection.
Thank you again to Llewellyn for sending me this amazing book! This is going to be well used this year! I can’t wait to read more wonderful books from this great publisher.
What is your zodiac sign? Does it describe you accurately?
