Friday is officially here and you know what that means…no, not the weekend…Freebie Friday! This is such a great day because now you can all download a free book! Monday is hard because everyone, including me at times, posts about new books coming out soon and my wallet and bank account hate me for it. The library loves it though because I go right there are put requests in.

For today’s book, I thought something a little darker would be appropriate, seeing as it is October and all. This book has an average rating of 4.5 stars with over 400 reviews. I think it sounds interesting and I would love to hear your thoughts as well. This is one for Kindle Unlimited so I will also add another that is free for those who don’t subscribe to that service as well!
Gretel: A Horror Thriller (Gretel Book 1)
Author: Christopher Coleman
Published: October 31st, 2015
Alone. Frightened. Captive. If you hear someone approaching, RUN. She is not there to help you.
There is an ancient evil in the Back Country, dormant for centuries but now hungry and lurking.
When it sets its sights on an unsuspecting mother one routine morning along an isolated stretch of highway, a quiet farming family is suddenly thrust into a world of unspeakable terror, and a young Gretel must learn to be a hero.
Full of twists and turns, Gretel will have you on the edge of your seat. If you like books by Stephen King you will love Gretel.
Doesn’t this sound good?!?! It is spooky and just overall intriguing. It even says fans of Stephen King will love this and anyone who knows me, knows I am a huge Stephen King fan! I love the way he twists his characters to show us that there are monsters much worse than what we see on a daily basis.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Author: Washington Irving
Published: September 23rd, 2014 (First published in 1820)
The original American ghost story
North of New York City lies Sleepy Hollow, a secluded glen rumored to be the home of countless phantoms and specters. Chief among them is the Headless Horseman, the ghost of a Hessian soldier whose head was removed by a stray cannonball in the Revolutionary War. He rides across the glen each night and disappears in a flash of fire and brimstone at the bridge near the Old Dutch Burial Ground.
Ichabod Crane, a superstitious schoolteacher who recently arrived from Connecticut, wants to marry Katrina Van Tassel, the only child of a wealthy farmer. The locals spook him with story after story about the ghosts of Sleepy Hollow. Late one night, he spies a menacing figure at a crossroads. Worse yet, the man’s head appears to be on his saddle. Crane has only one chance to survive—he has to make it to the bridge before it’s too late.
