I am heading to NYC today for Bookcon!! It is my first time going and I am so excited! Be sure to follow along on my Twitter account for updates as the weekend goes by. My boys are feeling better but my youngest is now getting sick again. I hope he behaves for my in-laws while my husband and I are gone. We are getting a much-needed vacation away from the kids for a few days and of course, going to BOOKCON!! If you have any suggestions on what to do while in NYC, we are open to hearing them so feel free to comment below.
The weather has been nice here. We finally got some rain so the garden plants are coming up. Our chickens are growing huge! I really should start adding pictures to these posts. Would you all like that? I think it would break up some of the text and everyone loves looking at pictures…right? Anyway…things are going well here. We did recently lose my older son’s beta fish though. He had an issue with his float sac and just couldn’t manage to pull through. When we get back from NYC I am going to take him to get another fish. He wants more than one (other than the catfish we have) so we might get some smaller fish such as guppies. What were some of your favorite childhood pets?

This might sound like many different fantasy novels but I found myself thinking about this after I saw the cover. The color scheme here is what first caught my eye. This is a short story, introducing readers to the author’s world. I think this is such a fantastic way of getting readers interested, I’m interested!
