Welcome back to Would You Rather Wednesday! This is the first one of 2019. I hope that you all enjoy this series. If you would like to keep seeing it, let me know in the comments below. I always loved doing the would you rather questions as a kid so I thought it would be a wonderful way to engage more of you who follow my blog.
First I want to mention that I got the idea from Krystyna (Turning the Pages) and her weekly bookish meme challenge. I took part in her post last week, but Wednesdays work better for my blogging schedule, so I created my own weekly challenge. I hope that you all enjoy it!
Would you rather (10):
Read only books with love triangles or books with no romance at all?
Well, this is an easy one. I would choose love triangles for sure every time. I am a sucker for those love triangles, always trying to determine who would be the better match. I will add that sometimes I believe they can be poorly executed but often they are fantastic, in-depth and well thought out. Love triangles add another layer to the story and it really pulls me in and makes me feel more invested.
Sure, I can read books that have no romance at all, but I can’t help a great romance…love triangle or not.
What do you think…which would you choose?
No romance at all, easy! Unless a romance is *just perfect*, I could be fine without. So many wonderful books were ruined by flat romances! We can agree to disagree here, haha.
I do have to agree about flat romances though! I’ve read too many that really could have done without any to begin with
If a book is going to have a romance, it should be done well! I have read some good love triangles though, so it can go both ways.
I agree! It isn’t always done well but sometimes it’s perfect
A love triangle isn’t very romantic to me so I guess I’d opt for no romance books! I really avoid love triangle and cliffhanger endings. Just not my thing!
To each their own! I am on the edge about both. I can do without romance but if done right I enjoy it. Cliffhangers…I have a love/hate relationship with them.
I completely agree with you!
