Freebie Friday

Freebie Friday

Hello to all of my fellow book lovers! How was your week? Do you have weekend plans? I will be proofreading part of a book for an author as well as beta reading. I would be swimming but it is forecasted at only about 60 degrees, so that is a little chilly for a pool. However, It will be nice weather for loading up the truck to move. I will be happy when we can go through boxes, put the things we need into storage, and finally have everything settled in at my in-law’s. To me, my family is everything. My favorite moments of the day are spent with my kids and watching them interact with their grandparents, well one set of them anyway. I love having a close family and I am happy to be here. I count myself as lucky, I love my in-laws. I have heard so many stories about people fearing the times they have to spend with their in-laws, but I find joy in the time I spend with mine. Now that my shout out to my amazing in-laws is done…

Welcome back to Freebie Friday! I created this blog series to showcase one free e-book each week that I find via Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I know that books are expensive, that is why many are now turning to e-books…well that and the fact that they save space. There are pros and cons to ebooks, find a few here.  Today I hope to bring you a novel that you might take a chance on. These books will be free at the time of my post, but because I am unable to see the future, I cannot promise these will stay that way. So, if you like them purchase them as soon as you can.

When a frightened young outlaw joins a gang of violent criminals their names – against a backdrop of death, dishonor, brotherhood, and love – will become legend.

ENGLAND 1321 AD

After viciously assaulting a corrupt but powerful clergyman Robin Hood flees the only home he has ever known in Wakefield, Yorkshire. Becoming a member of a notorious band of outlaws, Hood and his new companions – including John Little and Will Scaflock – hide out in the great forests of Barnsdale, fighting for their very existence as the law hunts them down like animals. When they are betrayed, and their harsh lives become even more unbearable, the band of friends seeks bloody vengeance. Meanwhile, the country is in turmoil, as many of the powerful lords strive to undermine King Edward II’s rule until, inevitably, rebellion becomes a reality and the increasingly deadly yeoman outlaw from Wakefield finds his fate bound up with that of a Hospitaller Knight…

“Wolf’s Head” brings the brutality, injustice, and intensity of life in medieval England vividly to life, and marks the beginning of a thrilling new historical fiction series in the style of Bernard Cornwell and Simon Scarrow.

I decided to switch things up and feature this historical fiction novel this week. I do not read many novels in this genre, but I know some of you might. It sounds interesting and has some good reviews on both Goodreads and Amazon. The nice thing is that it is a series! Jump into a new adventure in this new fantasy without having to worry about it ending when the last page of this book is turned.  Below you can find the other books in the series if you would like to buy the remaining ones.
