The elements are all around us and sometimes we forget how powerful they truly are. Yes, many of us use them for calling directions, or cleansing crystals but how else can we incorporate these into our lives?
I was so excited to see this book, something more in depth on the elements. Upon seeing this, I knew that this was something I would use over and over again in my practice. I am so grateful to Weiser Books for sending me a review copy. I will be telling everyone about this book!

It is said that this book is wonderful for beginners and experienced practitioners. While I do agree with that, I do have to say that some of the vocabulary used may not be for everyone. Though it can be a pain, I recommend looking up the words that you may not understand. It may take a little time to unpack all of the information in here so that it is more easily understood but it is well worth it. Other than a few more complex words, this book and the subject matter should be easily understood.
Something that I learned in this book and never once thought about was sub-elements. How could I have never thought of these? Using the method described in this book you can use things like fog. Mixing certain elements can create entire sub classes and that open the possibilities of working with the elements to so many more things.
One of my favorite topics in this book was the platonic solids. I have always wanted to dive deeper so that I understood them Dominguez made it so these are so easy to understand! They make so much sense to me now and I am able to share this information with others now. The epiphany moments don’t stop there! The author offers a variety connections for readers to use. For example he goes into the elements and tarot connections.
There are so many concepts in this book that I suggest keeping it as a reference and take one at a time and add it into your practice. There is some discussion of ceremonial magick and if you find that hard to connect with you will likely dislike a majority of the book. If you can keep an open mind and accept other ideas and variations of practice, this is a wonderful tool packed full of so many new ways of seeing the elements.
