Would you rather Wednesday

Would you rather Wednesday

It is officially Wednesday and that means the week is halfway over! I have had a great week, what about you? I am most excited about a trade I made to get an ARC ofย Wicked Fox!! I shipped my book out yesterday and she shipped out what will soon be mine!! Muahahaha… *cough* sorry about that. I am really excited to read this book. Anything that has an underlying of Asain culture has me hooked but throw in a Kitsune and I’m in love. Kitsune are so beautiful and I can’t help but crave more of them…maybe I should write my own book with a Kitsune character…

I had not been reading as much because as it always turns out…summer becomes the busy season. The boys and I are always outside swimming, playing, etc. I am getting back into listening to more audiobooks to help keep my reading up when I am doing things such as working on blog posts or laying in the sun while the boys play. But enough about my busy life…let’s get to the real reason you are all here.

Welcome back to Would You Rather Wednesday! I hope that you all enjoy this series. If you would like to keep seeing it, let me know in the comments below. I always loved doing the would you rather questions as a kid so I thought it would be a wonderful way to engage more of you who follow my blog but bring a bookish twist to it.

Would you rather (18):

Read only one genre forever or never read a book from the same genre more than once

This is an easy one for me, I like to consider myself an omnireader, meaning I read from a variety of different genre. I prefer some over others, obviously. That being said, I would rather only read one genre forever. Knowing I could only read books that belonged to one genre, I would choose fantasy. I love escaping reality, seeing magic and unusual creatures, traveling to new worlds or different time periods.ย  Yes, sometimes books become repetitive and I feel that I need to take a break. Rather than having to pick up something else, I would just have to take a break from reading.ย  I don’t think this would be too difficult or awful to have to experience.

If I would have chosen the later, I would eventually run out of genre and then I’d be left with nothing to read. We all know that is a fate we wish on no reader for it is far too cruel.

What do you think…which would you choose?

Right?! I’d see many reading breaks on our futures if this were the case

I agree with that. I’d hate to only have historical nonfiction left to read ๐Ÿ˜”

That has to be the hardest ‘would you rather’ I’ve ever heard! Seriously. But I suppose I’d go with one genre forever- probably also fantasy since most of my favourite books live in those kind of realms ๐Ÿ™‚ Also, I really like the idea of would you rather posts; they’re a fun way of getting to know you (and your love of books) ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you! I love the idea as well and I hope readers have fun with it too.

    Lovely post!

I mostly read fantasy too but once in a while, I like to venture into a few other genres and honestly, I have come across some books from other genres that have really been life changing for me. So no complaints there!
