Happy Friday!! I hope that you’ve had a great week. If you live in a place similar to me, I hope that you are staying warm and reading a great book. I have been busy and sadly haven’t read much. That will be changing though. I have a few blog tours coming up. There are so many things I would love to do yet so little time in the day. Why must I insist on doing so many things?
One of my goals this year is to be more active on social media and I was doing well until recently. I will once again be commenting on blogs almost daily, as well as commenting on twitter or Instagram. If you leave your link for your most recent post below, I will head on over and check it out, leaving some love behind. But…let’s move onto today’s feature…Freebie Friday! Are you ready to see today’s free ebook?
Ebooks, aside from being cheap or free have some other advantages, find some pros and cons here. Today I hope to bring you a novel that you might take a chance on. These books will be free at the time of my post, but because I am unable to see the future, I cannot promise these will stay that way. So, if you like them purchase them as soon as you can.

An alien plague. A sixteen-year-old girl. A fight to save the world.
When a rare meteor shower unleashes a mind-altering infection, the people Alex loves begin to change. They’re smarter, faster, emotionless, and they have a plan. One that doesn’t include her.
Guided by cryptic clues left behind by her deceased father, Alex follows a trail of increasingly shocking discoveries. Earth’s history isn’t what she learned in school, and a new hive mind threatens to rewrite the future.
Alex is a fighter but pursued by both friends and an unknown enemy, it will take everything she has to fulfill her destiny. Desperate to save her little brother, she flees to the mountains surrounding her home, where the only chance for humanity has lain hidden for thousands of years.

I will admit the DNA helix on the cover grabbed my attention. Yes…I am a biology nerd. A mind-altering infection that originated from a meteor shower, needing to save her younger brother…count me in! This sounds like an exciting tale and I can’t wait to get to this. I love a good science fiction novel, especially one that includes aspects of things such as viruses.

Why do people always get smarter but also more emotionless. Why can’t we get the smarts and the emotion. Such a conundrum. Thanks for sharing this free book!
Yes!! I agree!
