Would you rather Wednesday

Would you rather Wednesday

Welcome back to Would You Rather Wednesday! This is the first one of 2019. I hope that you all enjoy this series. If you would like to keep seeing it, let me know in the comments below. I always loved doing the would you rather questions as a kid so I thought it would be a wonderful way to engage more of you who follow my blog.

First I want to mention that I got the idea from Krystyna (Turning the Pages) and her weekly bookish meme challenge. I took part in her post last week, but Wednesdays work better for my blogging schedule, so I created my own weekly challenge. I hope that you all enjoy it!

Would you rather (13):

be in an arranged marriage with your most hated antagonist or watch all of your favorite protagonists meet their ultimate demise?

Why do I do this to myself? This is just awful. How can I want to watch all of my favorite characters die? That is as bad as watching friends in reality slowly fade away. People who have fought so hard to get where they are now, only to meet their final battle, their last enemy and you are helpless. You have to watch as they are broken down, little by little until nothing remains but a shell of who they once were.

Then again, the other option is not any better…have to marry my most hated antagonist? Sometimes I fall for the antagonist…ok it happens more often than it should, there is no need to be mean about it. But think about someone like Lord Voldemort…gross. I could never imagine having to be close with him, let alone marry him. What a vile man. Or Someone like President Snow, etc. There are endless possibilities. Having to live with a person I hated so much, I’m not sure how I would handle that. Even worse, what about when I was forced to consummate the marriage…ugh gross.

I could go into more detail but I digress…I would be forced to marry the character I dislike. This way, I might still have a chance at having a life with those I truly care about in it. I could always lean on them for support. Who knows, maybe they would help me out of this dreaded marriage. In the end, I am a person who always puts the needs of others before myself, therefore this answer should not surprise those who know me.

What do you think…which would you choose?

I don’t even know how to answer this one. Are my favorites living breathing people? If so, then I’d sacrifice myself. But if they are not flesh and blood, then I am going to be selfish and choose to ruin their lives instead.

My thoughts exactly! If they were still book characters, I’d grieve for them but if they were people…I’d sacrifice myself
