Freebie Friday

Freebie Friday

Welcome back to Freebie Friday! Well, NaNoWriMo has begun! I will not be as active on my blog because rather than writing blog posts, I will be writing my novel. I will still try to bring Freebie Friday every week. There will also still be Saturday Spotlight every week. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you can see my updates on how NaNoWriMo is going. I am still going to try and read a bit at night while I can. I am so nervous about hitting the 50,000-word goal! I really think this is the push that I need to get my novel written though. I am incredibly excited to do it.

Now…let’s get another free book ok? Another great treat after Halloween.

Ebooks, aside from being cheap or free have some other advantages, find some pros and cons here. Today I hope to bring you a novel that you might take a chance on. These books will be free at the time of my post, but because I am unable to see the future, I cannot promise these will stay that way. So, if you like them purchase them as soon as you can.

History and legend combine in the gripping tale of Hakon Haraldsson, a Christian boy who once fought for the High Seat of a Viking realm.

It is 935 A.D. and the North is in turmoil. King Harald Fairhair has died, leaving the High Seat of the realm to his murderous son, Erik Bloodaxe. To solidify his claim, Erik ruthlessly disposes of all claimants to his throne, save one: his youngest brother Hakon.

Erik’s surviving enemies send a ship to Wessex, where the Christian court of King Athelstan is raising Hakon. Unable to avoid his fate, he returns to the Viking North to face his brother and claim his birthright, only to discover that victory will demand sacrifices beyond his wildest nightmares.

I was swept up in the action and enthralled by the descriptions of Hakon’s struggle. -Roundtable Reviews-

I highly recommend this historical fiction novel, both for its entertaining story and historical information.

I thought I would look for a book within a genre that I typically do not offer much of. I usually look for fantasy, science fiction, horror, but not often historical fiction. I like to keep a variety of books coming for this series so that everyone can find something they enjoy.  This novel sounds to have an interesting premise.
