Hello again everyone! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was busy getting an area set up in the basement for the boys to play. Of course, I have to make sure the Xbox gets set up so my older son can play minecraft…he might have a problem. Everything he likes is “Minecraft…if it isn’t Minecraft it is boring.” I guess that is me with books though so… He is incredibly smart and he does enjoy reading. He makes me so proud!
We were able to enjoy another day in the pool, though it was a little chilly. The weather was beautiful this weekend, soon we will be getting many more chilly days. Which in a way is alright because I love wearing hoodies! If you know me, you know I dress primarily for comfort on a daily and you will see me in hoddies a lot. What is your favorite season?
Well, it is Monday and I know why you are all really here…Goodreads Monday! So…less about parent life and more about books! This weekly event is hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners. To take part, simply choose a random book from your Goodreads TBR (To Be Read) list and show it off.
Now onto the good part, yet another book from my Goodreads to read shelf…which is always growing larger with each Goodreads Monday post that I read. I am serious, every Monday my TBR list grows by about 5 books. Why are there so many great books and so little reading time?

When Ama wakes in the arms of Prince Emory, however, she knows none of this. She has no memory of what came before she was captured by the dragon, or what horrors she has faced in its lair. She knows only this handsome prince, the story he tells of her rescue, and her destiny to sit on the throne beside him. Ama comes with Emory back to the kingdom of Harding, hailed as the new princess, welcomed to the court.
However, as soon as her first night falls, she begins to realize that not all is as it seems, that there is more to the legends of the dragons and the damsels than anyone knows–and that the greatest threats to her life may not be behind her, but here, in front of her.
I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this novel via a Goodreads giveaway! I do enjoy retellings or stories that spin-off of common classics. I am really looking forward to jumping into this book. I think this is a story that will have a strong female character and I think I am in the mood for that! And Dragons! I mean…anything with dragons calls my name! They are my favorite mystical creature after all. I actually think the next tattoo I get will be a mother dragon laying down, her tail wrapped around a young dragon and a dragon hatched from an egg…all atop a pile of books! What do you all think?!
Is this a book that you might enjoy if you have not read it? Do you enjoy retellings or twists on classics? What are some books on your Goodreads to-read list? Do you find yourself adding many more to your TBR list on Goodreads Monday?

Damsels and dragons!!! Count me in ?.
That is a great idea for a tattoo. I was also planning on a dragon tattoo for my next one but unlike you I have not fully hashed out what it will be. Maybe…. a damsel and a dragon lol you never know.
I could see you actually planning that but the damsel would be some mage. lol
A mage damsel is still a damsel. Lol
