Hello and happy Friday everyone! I hope that you all had a good week. What did you do? Do you have any special plans this weekend? I know I plan on more swimming! I really would like to get more reading done if I can find some quiet time.
Welcome to my first official Freebie Friday. I am excited to begin this new feature on my blog. I created this to showcase one free e-book each week that I find via Amazon or Barnes & Noble that is free. I would love to find hard copies that are free, but that is unlikely. However, if you are looking for a specific novel, post it on Twitter using #Bookishwish. Check out my post to learn all about #Bookishwish here.
I know that books are expensive, that is why many are now turning to e-books…well that and the fact that they save space. There are pros and cons to ebooks, find a few here. Today I hope to bring you a novel that you might take a chance on. These books will be free at the time of my post, but because I am unable to see the future, I cannot promise these will stay that way. So, if you like them purchase them as soon as you can.

All Tara ever wanted was to be a mermaid.
So she takes a year off between high school and college to don a fake tail and tour aquariums across the country in a professional mermaid troupe.
Everything’s great until she meets a gorgeous real-life merman named Finn. Suddenly, what she thought was a dream turns out to be a nightmare — she’s turning into a mermaid herself. For real.
Yet when she returns to the sea to seek out Finn and reverse her transformation, she finds herself in the middle of an impending war between the land and sea. Tara may have always wanted to be a mermaid, but now it’s sink or swim. In order to survive, she has to learn how to be one, too.
When I saw this novel, I knew that I had to show you all as well. Mermaids…what more do I need to say. I am writing my mermaid fantasy novel, so all mermaid books now count as research! Besides, who does not like a good mermaid story, well I suppose this is a merman one. This is a unique twist. Often you see a mermaid falling for a human man.
Look at these super cool mermaid things that I found. Click the images to be taken to the Amazon pages to purchase them. These mugs are super cute. If you buy one, then you can drink your cup of tea or coffee in mermaid style while reading this fantasy novel.
Let’s all be serious for a moment, that last mug is really perfect. I actually laughed when I read it. I have even found some mermaid tea that sounds amazing. A berry and hibiscus tea, this would be great hot or better yet…iced! Now I am thinking of drinking this as an iced tea while laying by the pool and reading this book.
For those of us who have stressful mermaid lives, we might just need something a little stronger than tea or coffee…how about wine?! Here I have found this super cute wine glass and if by chance you do not finish the bottle, this cute wine stopper!
I could show you all a plethora of mermaid things, but I suppose that is good for now! I could get carried away all too easily! Back on track, go buy this great free mermaid novel. I hope that you have all enjoyed our first Freebie Friday! Have a wonderful weekend.

Merman are an under represented faction in our society! I am super happy that they are starting to get their due respect :).
I completely agree! Mermaids are everywhere but it is rare that you hear about mermen, especially not in the company of mermaids. I am excited to see how this book turns out. It might be a wonderful free find.
I love this new feature–and the new design!
Thanks so much! I wanted something unique and who doesn’t love free books?!
How interesting! I don’t think I’ve ever read a book featuring a merman before I’m very excited to give this a go.
I thought the same thing! Better yet, it’s free?
Ooooo this sounds interesting!
That is exactly what I thought! Let me know if you read it and what you think. If you do, and you review it, I would love for you to link back here so that if still free, others may purchase it! Spread the love.
I did pick it up because WHY NOT, and I will definitely leave a draft review with a link here to jog my memory for when/if I finally get to reading & reviewing this one! xoxo
Thanks so much. I appreciate it
ooooh~ I love this feature! Thanks! Just got it. 😀
No problem! I figured who wouldn’t love a weekly free book?
I hope you come back each week. If there is a genre you’d like me to find a book in, let me know.
I definitely will! 😀 Any genre is good but YA would be great. Hihi. ?
